About Green Thumb...
Merlin Gingerich, Owner and CEO began working in the lawn care business with his father in Phoenix, Arizona. He has lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1970 and began Green Thumb in 1976. Phyllis Gingerich is the Office Manager for Green Thumb.
Vern Kauffman is the Landscape Manager. He has worked for Green Thumb since 1987. He has experience doing both Residential and Commercial landscape.
The company has grown from its initial residential services to the current commercial program emphasizing landscaping and irrigation for new construction of town homes, condos, apartments, office complexes and residential development.
Green Thumb employs a team concept believing productivity is increased through team development.
